I was born and raised in Kirkwood, MO (my heart also belongs to KHS Pioneers!) In 1996, I graduated from DePauw University in Indiana with a B.A. in Elementary Education. Upon returning to St. Louis, I worked in Parkway as a Teacher's Assistant in 4th grade for St. Louis Special School District and as a Kindergarten aide. I have been teaching at Sappington Elementary since 1998. My first year at Sappington I taught first grade but have been in second grade ever since. It is the BEST grade! In 2003, I received my Masters of Education in Literacy from University of Missouri - St. Louis. My husband, Ted, and I have a two year old, Hadley, and in March 2013, we added Nathaniel ('Nattie') to our family. We have a CRAZY dog named Scudder, a wire fox terrier. My hobbies are reading, running, being with my friends and family, Pinterest (a big addiction) and traveling.
